Weekend at a glance: laughter #58

I’m so glad I got the opportunity to see the Atlanta Ballet. Thanks to Mattie of the Atlanta Style Bloggers, I was about to see an amazing performance by the New Choreographic Voices. MAN. I’ll discuss it in Wednesday’s post. It was absolutely phenomenal.

The best and most hilarious part was when my friend Naomie (see: short girl; red pants) got chosen to go on stage and dance. I could not stop laughing. Most¬†importantly, I couldn’t stop thanking Jesus that it wasn’t me the dancer picked. I can’t dance to save my life.

My dear dear friend Nykita is here on holiday. Side note: I keep telling people she is here on holiday only because I like the sound of saying someone is here on “holiday”.

She invited me to a new gathering she calls The Table. About fifteen beautiful women gathered to mingle, network, and just get to know one another. I’ve said this a few times this year but I’ve really been blown away by the caliber of women I’ve met this year. These women are honest, driven and powerful beyond belief. I always leave their presence a little more inspired to be a better woman. Understand that it is still possible to have genuine relationships with women. Don’t let men convince you otherwise.

Oh yeah, she fed us too. Good host.

Wish I could’ve gotten a shot with all of the beautiful ladies in attendance. Hopefully, we will meet again.

You’re awesome, Nykita!

  1. I’m so jealous (in a good way) that you got to see the Atlanta ballet, AND that Naomi was taken up on stage to dance with them! I saw your tweet about it and was so happy for both of you. How awesome!

  2. Looks like you had a great weekend, and The Table event looked amazing. Its always an enjoyable time being in the presence of women empowering one another for good instead of bashing one another for evil. Nice post
