Make up forever fabulousness

When I say I’ve found the foundation of my dreams…..

My shade: 178

A month ago I went into Sephora looking to try something better than the MAC liquid foundation I was using. I used to love it but it kept making my skin greasy. I got tired of blotting my face at every restroom visit. I heard about Make Up Forever and decided to give it a try. When the consultant applied it to my face, I immediately saw a difference. I don’t really have troublesome skin but I do have dark spots and a pimple or two here and there. See here for when my skin was bad.

Info about Make Up Forever HD Invisible Cover Foundation from Sephora’s site:

What it is:
An oil-free medium-to-full-coverage liquid foundation that covers skin imperfections flawlessly while remaining invisible on-screen and in real life.

What it does:
This foundation creates a soft-focus effect, which is designed to meet the coverage concerns of those in the spotlight. It leaves your complexion with such a flawless finish, it can withstand bright or harsh lighting.

What else you need to know:
This Sephora-exclusive foundation comes in 25 shades to suit all skintones.

What I love about this product:

  1. It gives my face a dewy hue
  2. A little goes a long way (especially if you do not have problem skin and just want a clean look)
  3. I don’t have to blot my face every two seconds!

This is what I look like with make up forever:

I know make up is trial and error for each woman but it doesn’t hurt to try it on the next time you stop by Sephora.

  1. would you recommend it to people with oily skin, because I have extremely oily skin and carry these blotting papers everywhere that I go. I’m actually using the studio fix right now, which is not bad, but I’m willing to try something else

    • Hi Laura!
First of all, thank you for subscribing and reading. ‘Preciate it!

Second, by no means am I a make up guru but I love to direct people to those that know more about it than I do.

I like reading The Moptop Maven’s blog and she has a good post regarding your question. On her post under oily skin, it would be best to try a liquid that is “oil-free” like Make Up Forever. She lists others you can try as well. But I would say go to Sephora and have them put it on for you. Make sure they don’t put too much! You don’t need a lot, esp if you don’t really have acne. Wear it for the rest of the day and see how it works for you. I didn’t even need to wait. I brought it on the spot.

  2. When you find out what brand of makeup or what primer to use to avoid makeup rubbing off PLEASE holla at a sista!!! That is my biggest pet peeve. *sigh*

I tried on the MakeUp Forever foundation at a friends house on the low and LOVED it mind you I do NOT do liquid foundation because of my ultra oily skin. I will be picking it up tres

  3. Totally hit “publish” before I was done typing….

Anyhow, will be picking it up tres soon. Need something like this for my e-session pics to make my skin look great and dewy like urs in the pic above.

P.S. You were that friend who’s house I tried it on at…lol!

  4. It’s $40 but you seriously only use a dallop. Worth a try. If it doesn’t work for you, you can always return it. But get your full face done at the store and walk around and see how it works. DON’T LET THEM PUT TOO MUCH ON YOU!

Nadine, who is going to do your make up for your e-session? Make sure to get lashes! MAC will put them on for you if you purchase them at the store.

  5. Your sis will be doing all of my makeup….e-session and wedding. Definitely getting lashes for both.

Didn’t know theh did that…How much are MACs eyelashes?
